Watchers: Room 801

A top-secret department housed in a small office hidden away in a Whitehall back alley, Room 801 is so secret that it doesn’t officially exist.

Most of its occupants are middle-aged men and women who have been tasked for the past 30 years with the endless drudge of logging and filing every UAP sighting, as well as significant paranormal phenomena whether from credible sources such as military and civilian pilots, senior members of the armed forces or police officers, right down to the more flaky and dubious publicity seekers and local newspapers.

The brief of the civil servants of Room 801 has always been to do nothing. They are all now numbed by the mundane routine of their work – scanning newspapers, trawling social media as well as reading official filed reports – that nothing surprises or shocks them and, more to the tragic point, nothing piques their curiosity. Incidents that could potentially change humanity forever are assigned a code and filed away.

But their dreary world changes when former hacker Finna and ex-police detective Ophelia, after their own inexplicable experiences, are assigned to the team…
